Being a farmer means having your own company. It’s more than a fulltime job. Most farmers don’t only farm animals anymore, they also sell and make products. Buffalo Farm Twente is such a farmer. The farm makes their own Mozzarella. They have two Italian mozzarella makers employed who take mozzarella making into an art farm. With the highest concentration the different kinds of mozzarella are made.
Buffalo Farm Twente has a complete herd of buffels. Most located at their farm, some location at four different locations in Twente, roaming the meadows. The buffalo milk is processed in their own cheese factory where they make artisanal buffalo mozzarella, ricotta and other cheeses. The cheeses are sold at different locations in the region and to restaurants. And it tastes sooo good! Also: if you think cheese from the farm is expensive: think again!
